Hi alll, Im new and need advice

Pretty simple newbie question really... what are the legal requirements for placement and size of an aviery in my back garden? Im sure there must be some UK laws that should be kept to..... eg Size, Distance from Property, etc etc

None that I am aware of specific to aviaries, however you could possibly have issues regarding putting up a shed in the garden for the aviary, also neighbours do have the option to complain if they feel the noise levels are too high, best check with your local council if in doubt.

Why can the Neighbours complain? should i not have one in my garden?

Budgies can make a lot of noise, then again it's not like your having a massive flock, if it were me I would ask the immediate neighbour(s) if they had any initial objections.

What noise levels can i go to? as long as i have my facts right ill take the neighbours on, no problems.... hee hee... What about location regs.... will that be different from council to council????

Well as far as having an aviary in your garden, I am not aware of any regulations at all. But having a large garden shed sometimes need planning permission from the council - you could always phone them anonymously for advice to see whether they have any rules for putting up a shed.
