Has he started talking?!

Hey! I've noticed over the past couple of days that one of my male budgies is trying to talk! When he sings as normal sometimes he goes into a howl/whistle. It's like he's trying to mime something? Is this him trying to speak?

Often I hear things and think "Thats just me going crazy!" Although I swear I heard him whistle today when I was in the kitchen :)

Had mine a year now and I can only say I believe he is trying to say somat but not sure. I talk though all the time to him. I will keep it up and then one day I will be surprised and you too, just keep it up

:) Thank you! I speak to mines too! The girl has only just started singing, as she's a few months younger than he is :) I find the more you try to tame them the more affection/trying to speak they do! They've even started to eat fruit now! they HATED it when i first brought them a couple of months forward

you know I never tried mango, I tried other fruit but not that, thanks I will have a go when I can get some. He loves cucumber, thats his favourite, and bit of apple but it is cucumber thats his faveourite, I wonder if yours would like it,

They didn't! only lettuce and mango have been a success! basically anything expensive! They must be some high class birds! :P

Ok then. I have to buy organic cucumber for mine as I like to think he is eating stuff without pesticides in,, even though it is about twent p more than normal,, and even though I hardly can afford stuff, I still have to use it, but I will try a mango when I go shops

I know what you mean! It's all soo expensive at the moment!
