We're trying to get our wee casper to go in a bath but she doesnt seem to want to know. She likes the bath when theres no water in it and has learned to tip it over so all the water falls out, we bought a bowl/plate that she cant tip over but no luck when theres water in it. Anyone got any advice or have we just got to wait til she's ready?

I don't have much luck getting my two to bathe either. Some people give their budgies wet lettuce leaves or grass to "bathe" on. They really do seem to enjoy this type of bath and it's fun to watch them. I haven't tried it yet but plan to. You could also try misting her if she refuses to get in the bath water.

My budgie Willy hates to bathe too. Whenever I put water near him, he either drinks a bit or just totally ignores it. I do mist him though with luke warm water, or I just mist him with some really great products from the bird section of the pet stores. This mist is actually good for them as it repairs scaly patches they may have....it give their feathers a beautiful lustre.. it also removes any fireplace smoke....grease etc. that may accumulate on them through time. It's very safe and non-scented and also has the oil gland mixture in it that is good for the feathers and skin. I have never had a problem with this product at all, and my budgies hardly do any scratching afterwards. Even Willy kind of excepted it after a few seconds and just sat there and enjoyed it. If you would like the product name, please just reply back to this post and I will gladly post it to you hun.:)
