Would it be ok if I started the March comp? Spicky you can judge and I really liked rose's idea of Swinging budgies as the theme but if you have any suggestions otherwise that'd be great too. So for now the theme is Swinging Budgies!:D

Got a few videos of them on youtube (njaeanna) and a couple of threads in Other Birds (Bonnie and Clyde) with more pics, this was the only one I had of them on the swing together though ;)

LOL Michelle, I have about 46 budgies in the aviary, 2 indoors, 8 cockatiels in the aviary, 2 indoors, and the 2 hahns. We do have 3 zebra finches indoors too hahaha, and that's not including all of our other pets ;)

It's tied above the swing with Toothfloss, but he sits on the swing & leaps onto the ball & swings upside down, hops back on the swing and ad libs until he's knackered! lol! :D Yeah, thats Mikko in the av too, my little menace!

Sky loves to play with the bell on the bottom of the swing, then it falls to side and he quite happily sits on the broken swing!!

Sid wouldn't co-operate and do his usual "mighty budgie" impersonation, climbing onto the metal parts of the swing, so I had to make do with him cuddling up to the wooden blocks instead :rolleyes: (I can't decide on which photo I prefer, so I attached both :o)

Just thought I'd add - I bought my guys a cute swing - they think it is evil :eek: :p -so it was taken out of the cage & is now hanging out in their play area until they stop freaking out over it... when it isn't swinging they don't seem to mind it.:( I hope to have it back in the cage soon.

These budgies - they've got such a strong sense of what's evil! Ian & Marshall currently think that apple is the work of the devil. :)

I never thought that Sid would like the swing he has (it came with the cage), but once he was brave enough to try it out, it can be hard to get him to come back off the swing now!

Maybe there's a way of hanging it so it doesn't swing quite so much?

Scott told me a while back he only wants to give out one Ribbon per competition, due to some members who have had multiple wins. So if he gives 1st, 2nd & 3rd place ribbons to everyone there will soon be no room to place ribbons beside the members names on their profiles. So the 1st place winner gets a ribbon & the rest should be happy they are 2nd & 3rd winners.
