She managed to escape my aviary at about 4.10pm yesterday 1st May.

I have a stinking cold and I don't think I shut the secondary door properly when I went in for the daily clean. She is also very bonded to my rosella, and he is calling away for her, it's so sad and I feel awful in more ways than one now . Plus she was one of my babies from last year.

Sadly she is not hand tame so will not fly to you, although she does like to sit on my head sometimes when I'm sweeping out the aviary. She also loves climbing into things.

If anyone heres of anything please could they call me on 07890547599.

Many thanks!

Best of luck finding her, sorry to hear she got away :(

If you spot her try raining a hose above her to wet her feathers, she should then get damper and her flight range will come down to a few feet off the ground. Ensure it's safe to do though (ie not near a road)

Best of luck.

Regards,
Soph.

Sadly i've had not luck as yet :(

My other kakariki's and rosella to who she was very bonded too keep calling but there is no sign of her.

I've not lost hope yet though, she is a strong flyer and acclimatised to our english weather, as long as she stays out of danger.
