Help Needed!!!

I've had my baby budgie kookie for 1 1/2 weeks and have begun the training ritual. I have trained my 1/2 year old budgie Kiki no probs, but little kookie is proving harder than expected. Every time I try to get near him he shys away! I've tryed alsorts: millet, gentle coaxing, putting kiki on my finger to show him its alright... but alas, he will not be trained. I desperatly need some tips!! He's just to cute to be left alone!!

Try and ease into it perhaps, every budgie is different. Where did your budgie come from? He may have suffered some traumatic experience so he is a bit shy.

Where have you placed your cage? Spend some time just sitting with your Budgie so he can feel a bit more comfortable in your presence, talk to him in a nice comforting, reassuring tone.

If you have two birds together, it is always more difficult to train the second one.
