Morning all have you had a good weekend beautiful day this morning how are all your birds. The pair i am trying to breed they seem more interested in the other 4. The hen seems to have settled down better then the cock when they were in the aviary they seem very close to each other. They have been it together for 8 days now should there be any thing happen. when i am in the shed at my bench in my wheelchair i am moving about in front of the cage and makeing a bit of noise would this not let them settle down?.
Well you all have a good week. Alan

No you won't see any signs yet alan, it could be that the male is just more active. Usually when the male is ready to breed he gets very excited and will run up and down the perch, hop all over the cage etc, sometimes it looks as if they are scred but no he's just 'happy'.

Thats what Boris is doing only on our third day of him being here so is he doing this because he's happy or because he is scared? And when are males first ready to breed at what age I mean?

I would say that boris is scared if he's only been there three days, he will settle, he needs to get used to you and he needs to learn his new enviroment and know where its safe;) Males can breed from about 6months on but they shouldn't breed till at least 9months, although saying that i have a chick that i bred he is about 3months old and he is already chatting up the hens in the flight.
