I dont quite understand. You dont want to breed but your Mum does? If your mum is intent on breeding then surely she should have all the equipment necessary.

If you cannot afford it, they you simply should not do it. You need to make a list of 'what if's' - all the things that could potentially go wrong, and go through them with your mum.

Someone must of bought the nest box. So you both want to breed them, you need to go about it the right way or not at all. What happens if they need vet treatment? who will pay? If you are extremely fortunate and all goes to plan and you let them 'get on with it' and they produce babies, do you have large enough cages? What do you intend to do with the babies?

I think you both need to think before going ahead. Its simply not fair to go into breeding without having the necessary equipment or knowledge. If your Mum is determined to let them breed, then Im afraid its up to her to provide the things that are needed, including being prepared to pay out for any vet care needed.

I think that preparation is the key thing, and being sensible as to whether you are in a position to breed.

She especially needs to be aware of the risks of egg laying. Egg binding, egg peritonitis, infections, prolapse, depletion, can all kill a hen. Does she also know that babies that aren't being fed adequately by the parents will need hand feeding at 2 hour intervals 24 hours a day?? Does she know how to deal with injuries that may arise or deformities like splay legs or scissors beak?? There is more to breeding than adding a box to the cage. You are right to be concerned and your mum needs to be made aware of the true cost and risks of breeding.

you should keep the next box out if u cant afford to bring if they still lay eggs at the bottom of cage then throw them. you need to think about money
