this morning my knee decided to click out or whatever on earth it deos and wake me up!!!

it hasn't done in years, since my last holiday and the sexy sri lanka men had to carry me out the pool

it bleeding HURTS

and you can not move your leg, i crawled around (this usually pops it back in) with no luck, so had to crawl down the stairs like something from a horror film and get help LOL



i also tried to get a photo with melon today- but their true style will not stay still long enough :D

that exact same thing happens to me! happens to my mum too.
have they figured out why it happens? they cant tell me, been for mmrs and x-rays and everything, but they cant tell me what's wrong
it happened for teh first time in france after i had been swimming and was getting out of th pool.
last time it happened, it really wouldnt click out, so the ambulance had to come out and give me gas and air to fix it :eek:

I think we call those Charley Horses here. They're the WORST-- I've gotten woken up by a few as well, it also happened to be when I was a serious swimmer too? I never did figure out how to cure them I just sort of waited it out in pain...

You feel better now Spicky ? Take it easy & relax your knee by putting a heating pad on your knee for 20 mins ... wait 10 mins after the heat, then place a bag of ice on your knee for 20 mins. Do this 2 times each hour ... for a couple of hours.

It will make the muscles & tissues relax & contract & you can pop your knee back into place crawling on it again.

So sorry, Spicky:(........I know it hurts, my eldest daughter has the same thing with her knee (& sometimes her hip, which totally immobilises her:eek:). The doctor told her it was something to do with the cartilage in her knee & said a knee replacement was the only thing that really helps:(. Of course, they won't do that till she's in her 50's (she's 34):mad:!

i noticed on the rspca website today they are looking for dog walkers volunteers at the kennels its about 50 minutes away and i hope i get the courage to ring them this week and ask if i can get involved
been feeling a little 'empty' so i think this could give me a nice boost

I was thinking about the same thing! :) I really wanted to volunteer with birds but I can't seem to find a bird-specific rescue anywhere too close to me so I might just go for cats/dogs too. Keep us updated if you do, they will be very lucky to have you!

I bought about 7 or 8 different bird toys this morning as well as entirely too much food among other things... bought the Harrison's bread and the sunshine factor as well :p One thing though, on some of the smaller size bottles of the sunshine factor it doesn't say to refrigerate it, but you must after you open it, I didn't realize that and wasted half a jar, grr :mad:

We already know Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig is a gyro man, which is probably part of the reason why the cover of VW’s Contra (which hits stores Tuesday, January 12) looks so much like one of those Kronos gyro ads.

But to dismiss the image on the front of the album — a vacant-eyed blond girl in a Polo — as just a knock-off is to sell it short. Because ever since the band unveiled the art for Contra back in September, it’s been the source of near constant speculation. Fans wondered just who this girl was. Critics picked apart her vacant stare and preppy pastel shirt as symbolic, or political or both. And the guys in VW just sat back and laughed.

“We know where the image came from, but we’re not being very specific about her. We don’t know her or anything,” Koenig said. “The picture is from 1983, but the last album cover was from 2006, and they kind of look like they both inhabit the same world. When we saw this image, we just found it very striking. And part of it is the look on her face. It’s not about the color of her hair, or the fact that she’s wearing a Polo shirt. What makes it interesting is her face.





“To me, there’s just something infinitely fascinating about a nice portrait of somebody, especially when she’s got this ambiguous look, and people can read a lot into it,” he continued. “So we were immediately struck by it, and we all had our own interpretations of what her look was, but we just kind of felt like it fit the album and the theme of it. “People have said it was ‘haunting,’ ” Koenig said of the cover. “I had one person tell me it was ‘porn-y.’ We’ve had a lot of people ask us if it was sponsored by Polo or something. It’s almost like a Rorschach test, because some people get very mad when they see a white blond girl in a Polo shirt. It makes you realize how much you can imagine about somebody when you know nothing about them, based on only a few signifiers.”

Heh partners, they ruin everything. I dragged my boyfriend last year and he complained the whole time (he is not a fan)... I told him to shut it and let me enjoy myself! You are so lucky that you've been twice! I haven't bought their new album yet but I've been listening to it on youtube, I will buy it as soon as I have some money that I don't spend on the birds (at this rate never).

so, i just drove to the post office pick up
parked in a bus stop and RAN in before a bus squashed the car
it wasn't there....


i then had to park the other end of town and waddle around in my tracksuit bottoms (them bad trousers you wear around the house!) and nowhere would help me
so i went in the postoffice (main bit) and the huy wa slike
YOUR TO EARLY and send me away and have to go back after 3pm....and kept asking if i was meant to pick it from here, but he was like 3PM 3PM
how ever so helpful ¬¬


so i will go back later lol
