What are the rules to the Gallery?

We can use others' pics and place them in albums if we want. Can we post them in the forum for whatever reason? It has the code in there to do that already. It looks like it's built to share like that. Just needed clarificatioin is all. Thank you!

Images posted in the gallery are in the public domain and can be linked to and re-posted, I think you may have mis-read Tammie's question in the other thread if that is what this query is about Mindy, the OP(original poster) asked for everyone to show their avatars ~ and then posted a random pic from the gallery that wasn't theirs hence the confusion.

That was my understanding, either way yes pictures in the gallery are in the public domain and can be linked & posted in the mian forum.

Hi Scott, I don't think I mis read her post. This really isn't a big deal and don't know why it is being handled as such. I wish Tammy would have just answered my question. I get the idea she took offense. I don't think she needed any type of defense because of what I said. I certainly meant no harm.

What she posted was: "Why are you posting photos from the gallery that are not yours??"

and I said,

The way I see it (and correct me if I am wrong) is that gallery photos are public, the system provides the code to paste into a message so that we can share, and if someone has a pic in their gallery, and someone else really likes it and wants to share, isn't that okay. Just to clarify, yes the gallery images are public with links as you say and can be re-posted in the main forum etc.

Thought Id best put my query in here rather than starting a new topic. I'm having problems uploading a picture. Its in JPEG format and has been compressed to 320k at 400 x 350 pixels. I managed to upload two pictures the other day with no problem so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Any ideas why?

Not sure, 320 is still pretty massive for an online image can you reduce it to around the 100kb type of size as that is what I try and do.
