I was wondering how you go about entering budgie shows,I have bought 3 pairs of exhibition birds and have chicks hatching.
I show dogs, and you get schedules and have to enter at least a month before,is it the same in budgies,or do you turn up and enter on the day?also where do you get the scedules from,i see shows advertised in cage and aviary, cant wait to start going, thanks for any helpful info.

Hi Daradayle

its basically the same as you say for the dog shows, but you enter them closer to the show entrie usually close about 4-5 days before the show,if you phone up the telephone number next to the shows advertisement in cage and aviarys and ask for a schedule for the show, the young birds won't be ready to show at the bigger shows until at least there through their first moult around 5 months old, unless of course it is a nest feather show which are held earlier in the year

hope this helps

Pete
