I liked Terrahawks, Dungeons & Dragons to Batfink & Bananaman, I would say I was an 80's child so anything on this list (http://www.80snostalgia.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=60) rings a bell, some more so than others.

What a great blast from the past, they had loads of these cubes that joined together as well didn't they?!? Zelda used to be a pretty scary character in her day though

I think there should be a warning on this thread. No way was I prepared for the personification of evil and fear (Zelda) that used to nigh on make me wet the bed as a child. Bleurgh! *shudder*

For me, my fave TV list as a child would've been:

Rentaghost (Dobbin scared me though)
Supergran
Willo the Wisp
Trapdoor
Thundercats
He-Man (I have the power, to pick up a flower, it takes me an hour or twooo)
Knightrider
Airwolf
Superted
Bananaman
Button Moon
Rainbow (although Bungle scared the bejesus out of me)

Programs that scared me to death (but I still watched them):
Terrahawks
Pink Windmill (to this day I'm frightened of Grotbags, the crocodile and Rod and Emu)
Doctor Who (this one I didn't watch - I was generally behind the sofa)
The Triffids (even worse that Dr Who, I had to be in a different room with something else on the spare telly or a tape on).

Baz asked me to make a mention of Space Sentinels, although I personally had no idea what he was on about until we looked it up (wasn't one that I remember).

Edited to add: Oh oh, anyone remember the Adventure Game? Kindof like the 80s version of Knightmare?

I remember my Mum coming in to calm me down after I had nightmares after watching the first episode of Planet of the Apes ! lol And then later on in life Armchair thriller - it was the music on the intro that did it for me as well as the creepy tales.
