How to make an additive shaker and also how to save seed.
- Useful additive shaker for minerals, vitamins etc. - instead of paying out for a sugar or flour shaker, use a jar with a metal lid and punch holes in it to the size required.
- To save seed when using jam jar feeders, place them in a flower pot holder. This enables you to put the husks and spilled seed left in the holder through the winnower later on. If you don't have a winnower, then blow it off.
If you have a favourite tip which you would like to share with your fellow fanciers around the world then e-mail it to me and I will put it up in this section
