How to make an additive shaker and also how to save seed.

Well folks, not much to offer this month - if you don't send the tips in, I can't put them on these pages. However, we have two small tips this month, one from Chris of Cams Birds, Long island, once again and one from me.

• Useful additive shaker for minerals, vitamins etc. - instead of paying out for a sugar or flour shaker, use a jar with a metal lid and punch holes in it to the size required.
• To save seed when using jam jar feeders, place them in a flower pot holder. This enables you to put the husks and spilled seed left in the holder through the winnower later on. If you don't have a winnower, then blow it off.
