How to make an easily cleanable rope ladder.
Having gained most of the information from the Internet to transform an atrium into an aviary for a brain-damaged person to enjoy, we had to budget tightly.
We came up with an idea to hang a fruit-tree branch from the rafters.
- We tossed a thick cotton rope over the branch with 2 equal sides hanging down.
- Then we purchased several different thicknesses of dowels, cut them in half, but of equal length.
- We made our own ladder,by sticking the dowel-sections through the 2-rope halves,to form a ladder.
- Every time the birds are fed,the dowel-sections are changed.
- The soiled ones are then scrubbed clean and dried for the next change.
